“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
— Psalm 100:4–5, KJV
Beloved, thanksgiving is a beautiful way to begin each day and every endeavor! Before presenting our requests, let us remember: God is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His faithfulness reaches every generation. Our circumstances may change, but His goodness remains a reason to give thanks.
Through Christ, we have access to the Father, and His Spirit dwells within us—even amid unanswered questions and battles still unfolding. Gratitude says, “Lord, I may not see the outcome yet, but I remember Your goodness and trust You with what comes next!”
When God, in His wisdom, led Israel to march around Jericho, they obeyed and lifted a mighty shout—and the fortified walls fell flat! (Joshua 6:20). Let thanksgiving express your faith as you trust Him with every obstacle. May the Lord of the eleventh hour pull down every wall blocking advancement in your life and family. May barriers give way to breakthroughs and resistance become a testimony of His goodness!
A grateful heart always has something to give! Even when our hands hold little, our lips can offer thanksgiving, our words can encourage, and our actions can extend kindness. As we are rounding up on 2026, let the grace you receive become graciousness you extend.
Have a thankful and blessed day! May you and your family be encouraged to begin with gratitude, continue in trust, and overflow with kindness. May thanksgiving fill your home with joy and peace—for the Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever! Shalom! 🙏🏾🙌🏾
EZEKIEL 12:1–14:11
God tells Ezekiel to act out the coming exile to show the people of Israel what will happen because of their disobedience. Many refuse to believe the warnings, but God confirms that His words will come to pass. He also condemns false prophets and those who worship idols while pretending to seek Him. Key Themes: Obedience to God, the consequences of sin, true and false prophecy, spiritual blindness, and the importance of sincere worship.
HEBREWS 7:1–17
This passage explains how Melchizedek, king of Salem and priest of God, points to the greater priesthood of Jesus Christ. Unlike the priests from Levi’s family, Jesus’ priesthood is eternal and based on God’s power, not human ancestry. Jesus is the perfect High Priest who lives forever. Key Themes: The supremacy of Christ, the eternal priesthood of Jesus, God’s promises, and the perfection of Christ’s ministry.
PSALM 105:37–45
God brings the Israelites out of Egypt with silver and gold, protecting them throughout their journey. He provides clouds for shade, fire for light, and food and water in the wilderness. He remembers His covenant with Abraham and gives His people the promised land so they can obey His commands. Key Themes: God’s faithfulness, divine provision, protection, answered promises, and obedience.
PROVERBS 27:3
This verse explains that anger and foolish behaviour can be difficult to bear, but jealousy can be even more destructive. Just as a heavy stone and the weight of sand are burdensome, envy can place a painful burden on relationships and create unnecessary trouble. Key Themes: The danger of jealousy, emotional control, wisdom, and healthy relationships.
Final Reflection
Today’s passages remind us that God is faithful to His promises and always provides for His people. Jesus is our eternal High Priest, and through Him, we have a lasting relationship with God. We must therefore listen to God’s Word, worship Him sincerely, and guard our hearts against jealousy and other attitudes that can harm us and those around us.
