MAY 26 – DEVOTIONAL

Transformational Grace

📖 “After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace… will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” — 1 Peter 5:10

This scripture reveals that suffering, pain, setbacks, disappointment, and seasons of weakness are never the final chapter for those covered by God’s transformational grace. Because grace transforms, what tried to break us becomes the very place where God restores, strengthens, and establishes us.

Beloved, the God of all grace does not abandon us in difficult seasons. He personally steps into our process to heal, rebuild, and stabilize us. What feels temporary now is preparing us for greater spiritual strength, deeper faith, and lasting purpose. Grace does not simply help us survive hardship — it transforms us through it.

Be encouraged today. Knowing that your suffering has an expiration date, and God’s grace is eternal. The same God who carried you through the storm is also restoring your joy, confirming your calling, strengthening your heart, and establishing your steps. Hold on with faith — grace is still working.

Have a gracious day, and may you and your family experience the restoring, strengthening, and establishing power of God’s transformational grace today and always. Shalom!🙏🙌🏾

📖 2 Samuel 9:1–11:27 — Covenant Kindness, Temptation & the Consequences of Compromise

This passage begins with David extending covenant kindness to Mephibosheth, restoring honor, provision, and a seat at the king’s table to one who could not repay him. It beautifully reflects God’s transformational grace that restores the forgotten and lifts the broken. However, the later chapters reveal David’s fall into sin with Bathsheba and the painful consequences that followed. What began as unchecked desire led to deception, brokenness, and grief. These chapters remind us that while grace restores and blesses, we must remain watchful, humble, and obedient before God.
