MARCH 28 – DEVOTIONAL

Divine Presence Sees And Rescues The Rejected For All Possibilities

Genesis 16:13–14 (KJV)

In a place of rejection, pain, and isolation, Hagar found herself alone in the wilderness—overlooked, mistreated, and cast aside. By all accounts, she was the underdog. Yet in that very place, God met her. Not with noise or spectacle, but with a personal encounter that changed everything. She called Him “Thou God seest me”—El Roi, the God who sees.

This moment reveals something powerful: the divine presence doesn’t overlook the overlooked. God sees beyond labels, beyond status, beyond what others have dismissed. Where people may see insignificance, God sees possibility. Where others see the end of the road, God sees purpose still unfolding.

Hagar wasn’t in a palace—she was in a wilderness. Yet that’s where God spoke promise, provision, and identity over her life. It reminds us that your current condition does not cancel God’s calling. Even when you feel like the least likely, the forgotten, or the underestimated—He sees you fully and faithfully.

Beloved, be encouraged: you are not invisible to God. Every tear, every struggle, every silent prayer is known by Him. The same God who met Hagar in her lowest place is still meeting His people today—lifting the underdog and revealing hidden purpose.

Have a blessed day, and may you and your family be encouraged to trust the God who sees you, embrace the possibilities He has placed within you, and walk boldly knowing you are never overlooked in His sight.

BIBLE READINGS

March 28 Devotion

🌿 Reflection
Today’s readings remind us of a powerful truth: God is faithful—even when we are not.

Deuteronomy 9:1–10:22 -In Deuteronomy, Moses speaks plainly to Israel, reminding them that their blessings are not earned by their own goodness. In fact, he recounts their repeated rebellion, including the making of the golden calf. Yet, despite their stubbornness, God remains committed to His covenant. This shows us that our relationship with God is built on His grace, not our perfection.

Luke 8:4–21 -In Luke, Jesus tells the Parable of the Sower, shifting the focus to the condition of our hearts. The same Word is given to everyone, but it produces different results depending on how it is received. This is a call to examine ourselves: Are we distracted, resistant, or rooted and fruitful?

Psalm 69 gives voice to deep pain and rejection, yet it also reveals unwavering trust in God’s deliverance. It reminds us that we can come to God honestly in our struggles while still holding onto hope.

Proverbs 12:2–3 Proverbs closes with a simple but grounding truth: righteousness leads to stability, while wickedness leads to instability. A life rooted in God will stand firm.
💡 Key Takeaways
God’s blessings flow from His faithfulness, not our merit.
The condition of your heart determines how God’s Word grows in you
•You can be honest with God in difficult seasons—He hears you
