March 16 Bible Readings

Here is what we find in today’s reading:

Numbers 24:1–25:18
God turns Balaam’s intended curse into a blessing over Israel, showing that what God has blessed cannot be reversed. Yet Israel later falls into compromise with Moab.
Key Theme: God’s blessing is powerful, but we must guard our hearts from temptation and spiritual compromise.

Luke 2:1–35
Jesus is born in Bethlehem, fulfilling prophecy and bringing the Savior into the world. Simeon, led by the Spirit, recognizes Him as God’s salvation and the Light for all people.
Key Theme: Christ is the promised Savior and the Light of hope for humanity.

Psalm 59:1–17
David cries out to God for deliverance from his enemies but declares the Lord as his defense and refuge. Even in danger, he lifts his voice in praise.
Key Theme: Trusting God brings protection, strength, and confidence in every battle.

Proverbs 11
This chapter contrasts righteousness and wickedness, showing that integrity, humility, generosity, and wisdom lead to life and favor.
Key Theme: A life of righteousness and integrity brings stability and blessing.

Key Theme of Today’s Readings:
God’s promises are sure, His salvation has come through Christ, and those who trust Him and walk uprightly will experience His protection and favor Declaration:
Today I walk in the blessing of the Lord, trust in His salvation, and choose righteousness that brings life and peace.
