FEBRUARY 20 – DEVOTIONAL
BIBLE READINGS
In Leviticus 9:7–10:20, we witness both the glory and the holiness of God. When Aaron followed the Lord’s instructions in obedience, the fire of God fell and His glory appeared before the people. But when Nadab and Abihu offered unauthorized fire, they experienced the seriousness of approaching a holy God carelessly. This reminds us that God is not only loving — He is holy. Obedience invites His glory; irreverence brings consequence. God desires our worship, but He also requires our hearts to honor Him rightly.
In Mark 4:26–5:20, Jesus teaches that the Kingdom of God grows — sometimes quietly and unseen — but powerfully. The seed sprouts in its appointed time. Then we see Jesus calm a raging storm, demonstrating authority over nature. Immediately after, He delivers a demon-possessed man, showing authority over the spiritual realm. Nothing is beyond Christ’s power. Storms obey Him. Demons bow to Him. And the once-bound man becomes a bold witness. When Jesus steps into your situation, transformation follows.
Psalm 37:30–40 reassures us that the Lord upholds the righteous. The enemy may plot, but God establishes the steps of those who trust Him. He is our strength in trouble and our deliverer in distress.
Proverbs 10:6–7 reminds us that blessings rest upon the righteous, and a life lived in integrity leaves a legacy that is remembered.
✨ Reflection
God’s glory follows obedience. His power responds to faith. His protection surrounds the righteous.
Whether you are waiting on unseen growth, facing a storm, or trusting God in hardship, remember: He is both holy and powerful. He is not distant. He is present. And He is faithful to uphold those who trust Him.
Declaration
Today, I choose obedience and reverence before a holy God.
I trust that what He has planted in my life is growing, even when I cannot see it.
Jesus has authority over every storm and every struggle I face.
The Lord is my strength, my deliverer, and my defender.
I walk in righteousness, and blessings follow my life.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 💛
💟🌿 Love in Action – Love, Hospitality & Service
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
— 1 Peter 4:8–10 (NIV)
The scripture reminds us that love is the foundation of every thriving Christian family and community. It covers, heals, restores, and creates room for grace. Where genuine love is present, people feel accepted, valued, and safe.
It also reveals that biblical hospitality goes beyond entertaining friends—it is stepping outside our comfort zone to offer kindness, provision, and welcome, even to strangers. From Abraham’s example, we see that simple acts of generosity can invite divine favor and blessing. Love opens doors that pride and indifference keep shut.
Service is also love in visible form. Each of us has received gifts from God—not for ourselves alone—but to bless others. When we serve faithfully and joyfully, we reflect Christ to the world.
Beloved, we are called to be gracious, not hostile, generous, not guarded. Yet loving others does not mean abandoning wisdom. The same Holy Spirit who fills our hearts with love also gives discernment and protection.Praise God!!
May grace continue to abound to be known as people of deep love, warm hospitality, and faithful service—true stewards of God’s grace.
