JULY 5 – DEVOTIONAL

Gratitude For The Power of Praise & Glory

📖 Psalm 117:1–2
“Praise the Lord, all you nations! Extol Him, all you peoples. For great is His steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!”

As we journey through this 7th month of the year, let us intentionally pause—not to focus on what is still unfinished, but to lift our hearts in praise to the One who has brought us this far. Our praise declares our identity as children of the Most High God, acknowledging Him as our Giver of life, faithful Provider, loving Sustainer, and the Sovereign King who rules over all nations. Before Him, the nations are but a drop in a bucket, yet He knows each of us by name and surrounds us with His unfailing love.

Today, we also join in gratitude as we thank God for 250 years of independence in this great nation, praying that His mercy, righteousness, peace, and glory will continue to rest upon the land.

Above all, we rejoice in the eternal freedom we have through Christ Jesus. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthians 3:17). May we walk daily in the liberty, hope, and victory that only He can give.

Beloved, never underestimate the power of a grateful heart. Praise shifts our focus from problems to God’s promises, from bondage to freedom, from fear to faith, and from burdens into God’s glorious presence.

Have a joyful and praiseful Independence Sunday, and may you and your family be encouraged to celebrate God’s faithfulness, walk confidently in the freedom of Christ, and continue shining as instruments of His love, peace, and glory wherever He leads you. Shalom!🙏

✨ Final Reflection:
Today’s readings remind us that our lives are part of God’s greater story of redemption. He is faithful across every generation, sovereign over every circumstance, and powerful enough to protect and fulfill His purpose in our lives. Like Paul, may we take courage knowing that God’s plans cannot be stopped. Like David, may we confidently trust the Lord as our shield and deliverer. And like the wise described in Proverbs, may we cultivate strong spirits and teachable hearts that continually seek God’s wisdom. As we continue our Month of Praise with Gratitude & Glory, may we rest in God’s faithfulness, walk boldly in His calling, and give Him all the praise, knowing that He who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it. Amen!
