Ephesians 2:8–10 reveals a powerful truth: salvation is a finished work—fully accomplished on the cross by Jesus. It is not earned or achieved by human effort, but received freely by grace through faith in Him. We don’t strive to be saved—we believe and receive what Christ has already completed.
Beloved, we don’t have to carry the weight of trying to become who God has already declared us to be in Christ. We can rest in His grace—what Jesus finished is completely enough.
Yet this grace doesn’t leave us the same. We are God’s workmanship, recreated in Christ for good works—and even these flow from grace, not striving.
However, grace is not permission for passivity—it is empowerment for responsibility. Titus 2:11–12 shows that grace teaches us to live godly lives, and James 2:17 reminds us that faith without works is dead. Our works are not the root of salvation, but they are the evidence of a transformed life.
When we rely on His finished work, His life is expressed through us—and we respond in obedience. Grace becomes both our foundation and our fuel.
Have a gracious blessed day, and may you and your family be encouraged to rest in His finished work while actively walking in obedience, allowing His grace to transform your hearts and be evident through your lives. Shalom!🙏🙌🏾
