FEBRUARY 26 – DEVOTIONAL

BIBLE READINGS

In today’s Bible reading, here is what we will find:

📖 Leviticus 19:1–20:21 – A Call to Holiness in Every Area of Life

God commands His people to be holy because He is holy. Holiness is not just spiritual—it is practical. It affects how we treat others, conduct business, honor parents, care for the poor, walk in sexual purity, and avoid idolatry.

The repeated phrase, “I am the Lord,” reminds us that obedience flows from relationship. God’s standards are not random rules; they reflect His nature. Holiness is love in action, justice in practice, and purity in lifestyle.

Key Themes:
•Holiness reflects God’s character
•Obedience in both public and private life
•Love for neighbor as spiritual responsibility
•Separation from sin and compromise

📖 Mark 8:11–38 – Recognizing Jesus and Taking Up the Cross

The Pharisees demand a sign, yet miss the Savior standing before them. Jesus warns about the “leaven” (influence) of hypocrisy and unbelief. Peter correctly identifies Jesus as the Christ—but then struggles when Jesus reveals that the Messiah must suffer.

Jesus makes it clear: following Him requires surrender. To gain true life, we must deny ourselves and take up our cross. Kingdom perspective values eternal reward over temporary comfort.

Key Themes:
•Spiritual blindness vs. revelation
•Guarding against unbelief
•The cost of discipleship
•Losing your life to truly find it

📖 Psalm 42:1–11 – Thirsting for God in Dry Seasons

“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.”

The psalmist expresses deep spiritual longing while battling discouragement. Yet even in emotional distress, he speaks hope to his own soul: “Why are you cast down…? Hope in God.”

This passage teaches us that spiritual thirst is not weakness—it is evidence of life. When overwhelmed, we must preach truth to ourselves and anchor our hope in God.

Key Themes:
•Deep longing for God
•Wrestling with discouragement
•Choosing hope over despair
•God as our exceeding joy

📖 Proverbs 10:17 – The Path of Instruction

“He is in the way of life who keeps instruction, but he who refuses correction goes astray.”

Correction is not rejection—it is direction. A teachable spirit keeps us on the path of life. Pride resists correction, but wisdom embraces it.

Key Themes:
•Teachability
•Discipline as protection
•Life flows from correction received

Final Declaration

Father, I declare that I am called to holiness in every area of my life. Open my eyes to see clearly and guard my heart from spiritual blindness. Give me grace to deny myself, take up my cross, and follow You wholeheartedly. When my soul feels dry or discouraged, I will hope in You. I receive correction with humility and walk in the path of life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a blessed and strengthened Day 26 🙏🏾✨

🌿💟Love In Action | LoveThatBindsTogether

“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” — Colossians 3:14 (ESV)

As we round up this month’s devotion, Apostle Paul gives us the master key: put on love.Love is not optional—it is essential. It is the divine glue that holds every virtue in place. Without love, patience unravels, kindness grows cold, and unity falls apart. But when love is present, everything flows in harmony.

Love is the foundation of godly character. It attracts God’s goodness and acts as the oil that removes friction in our relationships. Where love abides, grace covers, forgiveness flows, and peace reigns.

Beloved, love flourishes in a heart free from selfishness, pride, envy, and bitterness. These are the weeds that choke the life out of love. If we allow them to grow, they hinder the flow of harmony in our hearts, homes, and communities. So even beyond this “month of love,” let us intentionally pursue love that builds rather than divides, lifts rather than tears down, and encourages rather than condemns.

The topic of love can stir many emotions—joy for some, but for others memories of separation, rejection, loss, hurt, abandonment, or loneliness. Yet regardless of your current situation or past experiences, you can anchor your heart in this truth: God’s love for you is unconditional, unshakable, and ever-present. His love does not expire when February ends. It is worth celebrating every single day.

So don’t just wait to receive love—be the vessel that gives it. A simple act of kindness, a heartfelt note, a sincere prayer, or a moment of gratitude can become a powerful expression of God’s love in action.

Have a safe, blessed, and love-filled day. Shalom!
May you continue to thrive in the divine love of God that binds everything together in perfect harmony.🙏🙌🏾❤️
